This Privacy Policy describes how this site ("we", "our", "the site") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit or interact with https://skrivara.com.

What we collect

Comments

When you leave a comment, we ask for and store:

1. The name and email address you provide. Your email is never displayed publicly. Your name is shown alongside the comment.
2. Your IP address and browser user-agent string, used to help with spam detection and moderation.
3. The comment content you submit.

If your email address has not previously been verified on this site, we send a one-time confirmation link to that address. The link expires after 24 hours.

Cookies

If you sign in to the admin panel, we set a session cookie so you stay logged in. We also set a CSRF token cookie to prevent cross-site request forgery. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we store the email address you provide, the time you signed up, and your IP address (used only for abuse prevention). We use double opt-in: you are only added to the list after clicking a confirmation link emailed to you. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing takes effect immediately. We never sell or share the list.

Server logs

Our web host may log standard request information (IP address, requested URL, user-agent, timestamp) for security and diagnostics. Logs are typically retained by the host for a short period.

How we use the information

1. To display your comment alongside the post you commented on.
2. To verify that the email address used for a comment is real (one-time confirmation only).
3. To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, spam, and security incidents.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share information with our hosting provider as needed to operate the site, or with authorities if compelled by law.

How long we keep it

1. Approved comments are retained indefinitely so the comment thread remains coherent.
2. Trashed comments are permanently deleted after 30 days.
3. Email verification tokens expire and are deleted after 24 hours.
4. Failed login attempt records used for rate-limiting are pruned automatically.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing admin@louskrivara.com. We'll respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
